My black skin

Poetry is life it inspires, encourage, motives and mostly uplifts one's soul and gives hope.
My black skin by Shepistone Sekeso (Zimbabwean poet)

You are as dark
And as lovely
As the silent night.
I am proud of you.
You are as lovely
As a ripened grape,
Smooth and dark.
You are a perfect cover.
You fit me well,
My black skin.
